pH Up 50% NaOH is a highly concentrated solution of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), used to raise pH levels in water and various industrial processes. This clear, colorless, and odorless solution is extremely alkaline and effective in small amounts.
Uses: Commonly used to increase pH in water treatment systems, swimming pools, and spas. Also found in manufacturing settings for pH correction, and in the production of chemicals like soaps, detergents, and paper products.
Industrial Applications: Used in aluminum production, pulp and paper processing, textile manufacturing, and as a heavy-duty degreaser. It’s also employed to neutralize acidic waste and stabilize pH in chemical processes and wastewater systems.
Safety and Handling: pH Up 50% NaOH is highly corrosive. Use with extreme care and always wear protective gear including gloves, goggles, and proper ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and respiratory system. In case of contact, rinse with water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical help.
