Isopropyl Alcohol, also known as isopropanol, is a highly volatile and colorless liquid with a musty odor at room temperature.
What Is 70% Isopropyl Alcohol Used For?
It is used in the manufacture of a wide variety of industrial and household chemicals and is a common ingredient in products such as antiseptics, disinfectants, and detergents.
It dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds, evaporates quickly, leaves almost no residue, and is relatively non-toxic compared to other solvents. It is also used for herbal oil extraction and as a degreasing agent.
You’ll also find it in paint thinners, inks, general-purpose cleaners, disinfectants, and windshield de-icing products.
