Dry Potassium Carbonate — Alkaline Powder for Industrial & Food-Grade Use

Dry Potassium Carbonate is a white, granular or powdery substance that is odorless and highly hygroscopic. It is soluble in water and forms a strongly alkaline solution. As an important industrial chemical, it serves various applications in diverse sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, and food processing.

Uses: Potassium Carbonate has a broad range of uses, including as a buffering agent in food and beverage production. It is commonly used in soap making and aquariums to regulate pH. The dry form is especially useful for moisture-sensitive reactions.

Industrial Applications: Widely used across industries, Potassium Carbonate plays a role in glass manufacturing (including optical lenses and TV tubes), as a drying agent for solvents, and as a fire suppressant. It is also used in textiles for mild bleaching and drying, and in agriculture as a potassium source in fertilizers.

Safety and Handling: Generally safe for industrial handling, but it should not be ingested, inhaled, or allowed to contact eyes. May cause irritation to skin or eyes. Use gloves, safety glasses, and work in a ventilated space. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention if needed.
